Revision Tips!

Dear reader,
So, as you may or may not know I am sitting my year six SATs in May so I thought I'd do a little revision guide to lead me through the next three weeks until SATs (scary I know).

- SATs are a group of exams year sixes take. The new curriculum means that year sixes have to learn a LOT more than past year sixes and it is harder than its ever been.

  • Revise! I know it's very very obvious but I personally think that revising actually DOES secures you with a better grade. Even if its just a little brain-teaser every evening, it will pay off for your SATs. You should pass your exams with flying colours help to a little revision.
  • Keep hydrated. I find that I can't do exams if I'm crawling for a cup of water. Make sure you've had plenty to drink and eat before the big day.
  • Even if you don't get a very good score I always think back to what I got last time. Don't worry how many you got incorrect, just see if you've improved in places. That's what I do, at least.
  • Strive for success. Always challenge yourself to harder sums to ensure you know how to do them.
  • Ask for help. I always find it REALLY hard to merely raise your hand for it to be read to you by a teacher or assistant. Of course, they won't tell you the answer, but just them reading the question to you might make you understand it more.

That's all for now so I really hope this helped some of you in some peculiar way!
Bye,
Scarlett xx
